Stormwater panel votes 4-0 to advance regulations
Other Committee · Meeting of September 29, 2026
Douglas stormwater panel votes 4-0 to send final regulations to the Planning Board. The Stormwater Regulations Subcommittee, meeting September 29, trimmed its draft document from 16 to 15 pages and confirmed it would not include a map before voting to transmit the regulations "as written" for the Planning Board's October 14 meeting. Subcommittee member Mike made the motion, seconded by Jake.
Members also discussed a letter from the Attorney General's Office showing the AG had struck a single building-inspector-related sentence from the town's previously approved stormwater bylaw article, which one member called "almost like a line item veto." The panel plans a joint meeting with the Planning Board on October 14 to accept its own minutes and formally dissolve, handing stormwater regulation entirely to the Planning Board going forward.
