The commission unanimously approved a May 17 gravestone cleaning day at Douglas Center Cemetery in partnership with the local Daughters of the American Revolution chapter, followed by a public walking tour on June 14 — Flag Day — led by Secretary Sarah Guimond, who drew roughly 37 attendees to a Pine Grove Cemetery lantern tour last October. The June event will feature groups capped at about 12 visitors, liability waivers, and research booklets on at least 10 confirmed Revolutionary War veterans buried at the site, drawn from a broader DAR list of up to 46 names.
