Other Committee · Meeting of November 4, 2026

Douglas Economic Development Commission began preparing a brownfields grant application for a privately owned parcel. Members who attended a state brownfields seminar said the application needs the owner's permission, which arrived by email the day before, and that a phase one desktop assessment must come before the town could accept any donation through a town meeting. A member relayed that an EPA official said a town should not "accept property without at least a phase one." Emily Gobs of CMRPC launched a downtown strategic plan covering parking, loading and sidewalks, and said she expected it due by June or July.

Members also approved the 2027 meeting schedule unanimously.
