The preferred route runs from GBI staging on West Street through Main Street, Cook Street, and East Street to Soldiers Field, though concerns about the Mechanic Street bridge's geometry and weight rating for larger vehicles remain unresolved. Key logistics changes include routing the GBI lower lot strictly for drop-off traffic using barrels, staging floats and fire trucks on the street, staggering participant arrival windows, and reserving expanded handicap-accessible parking along the Soldiers Field fence line.
