Nine Douglas Property Deeds Recorded in Late July as Most Sale Prices Go Undisclosed
Nine property deeds were recorded in Douglas between July 24 and Aug. 22, but only one listed a sale price: $93,000, for a property sold by Eugene and Karen Gumienny to Mortgage Electronic Registration Systems Inc. and Rocket Mortgage LLC. The other eight transfers, including properties on Locust, Monroe, Pine, South and Main streets, carried no disclosed consideration. Four of the nine deeds involved a bank or mortgage entity as buyer or seller, and two appeared to be transfers within the same family. With pricing data limited to a single transaction, the deed record does not support broader conclusions about market direction this period.
