DOUGLAS — March 31, 2026 — Douglas Capital Planning Committee shifts $372,000 in deferred projects to FY2031. The four-member committee voted unanimously Tuesday to move three line items — $75,000 for municipal flooring and carpet replacement, $150,000 for a town hall first- and second-floor renovation, and $147,000 for a primary school oil tank replacement — from fiscal year 2027 into FY2031, citing unresolved electrical problems at town hall. Chair Chris Pupka noted he had "no idea" when the electrical work would be completed, making FY2028, described as already full, an impractical landing year. The moves bring FY2031's total planned capital spending to $1.362 million, joining roadway paving, a highway department grader with plow, and a $100,000 annual transfer to the capital stabilization fund already in that year.
